Who We Are
Marem is a creative project founded by Marely Cohen, a New York–based stylist and creative director, and Emily Gorum, a Los Angeles–based denim designer and artist.
The two met in 2016 while working together at a small luxury brand in New York, where a shared love of art, design, and collaboration sparked an ongoing creative partnership.
Marem brings together their distinct perspectives—balancing structure and ease, fashion and fine art—to create work rooted in storytelling and thoughtful design.
Our Approach
We view the scarf as both medium and message—an object of beauty that holds meaning. Every collection begins with a visual conversation, guided by intuition, reference, and form. Materials are chosen with care. Prints are developed in layers, evolving through sketching, painting, and digital composition. The result is something intimate yet expansive: a piece to be worn, framed, or simply admired.
